//~~~~~~ The Answers ~~~~~~

1: the 1990s :)

2: FLAC - because if you use MP3 you're doing it wrong.  CDs are great too (same quality as flac) but a bit bulky (as in they have bulk period)

3: Hmm... I never thought about this one.  I doubt I could do much.  I'd just walk away, but stay somewhat in the area because they'd get suspicious of me if I just walked away.

4: I've been thinking about this for months and I don't have an answer.

5: I've also been thinking about this.  I use Windows the most, but I feel bad.
Windows 2000 was probably the greatest version of Windows ever made, despite the IE bolted to it.  I'd still be using it if there wasn't a software exodus from it.

Windows XP made a few improvements to the UI, not much to talk about.  I only use it because of what happened to Win2K, and I'm afraid that what happened to Win2K will happen to XP very soon :(
Windows Vista is terrible and I'll never even think of using it.
Windows 7 is a little more bearable (only if you use 3rd party hacks) but still terrible.  Without the hacks, it's like Windows 8.
Windows 8 is REALLY terrible, both because of the UI and bad programmers.  Slower than Linux, slower than Windows 7 due to massive bloatage,  Not to mention you need a third party start menu to make it usable in any way (just like Win7).

Mac is okay, but there's no point, as it's only a little different from Linux.

Linux... I like this one the most, and I'd use it the most if all the software supported it.  Major, serious problems though.
There is no unified control panel, the sound subsystem is an atrocious mess (4(!) competing audio APIs, all incompatible with each other!), the root directory is a mass of non-descriptive abbreviations, driver support beyond what comes with the distro is literally non existent (that new tablet doesn't work?  You're screwed), if you need to do something even somewhat technical, you need to use the command line to even install a GUI program that does what you want to do, or if one doesn't exist, use the command line to do that thing manually, wifi support is a nightmare, and it's very difficult to find where programs are installed.

Despite this, if they can solve some of those problems, I might switch to Linux.
The best version of Linux I can think of is Linux Mint.
Also, there's a thing called ReactOS, which you should keep an eye on.

So, Linux.

6: I'd probably want elitism to go away.  Also, I'd like to meet the (as of yet nameless) creator of the Kargaroc C:

7: Orchestral.  I like other things too but I like orchestral the most.

8: I admit I don't go to school and I've not gone in several years, so I can only base this off of what I did see.  And that would be history.  There's no need, if you want to learn it, learn it yourself, you'll actually learn things that way, and there will be an infinitely lower chance of it being fake propaganda.  Use that time to learn something more useful.

9: PC.  It's just better.

0: Hmm... probably around 1970.  Waaaaaay before I was even thought of, but I'd love to see my family at that time.  Also we've had this house since the 60's, and, seeing old pictures, I know there were quite a few differences in the area.  ;)
